IMD Forecasts Dense Fog in North India, Heavy Rain & Thunderstorms in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dense to very dense fog conditions during the night and early morning hours in many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Chandigarh today. Similar conditions are expected in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and North Eastern states for the next two



days. 

The weather agency has predicted heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. According to IMD, squally weather conditions are likely to prevail over the Comorin area and the Gulf of Mannar. The weatherman has also advised fishermen to not venture into these areas.
