The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that heat wave conditions will persist with reduced intensity over Northwest, Central, and East India for the next two days. Today, heat wave conditions are expected in parts of Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. These conditions will also continue in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Odisha until the 4th of this month. The weather agency expects no significant change in maximum temperatures across the rest of the



country.

Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in West Bengal and Northeast India over the next six days. In South India, these conditions are expected in Kerala, Lakshadweep, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Karnataka during the same period. In North India, similar weather conditions will prevail in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Haryana over the next four days.
