IMD forecasts heat wave in Konkan, Goa, Coastal Karnataka

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heat wave conditions in pockets of Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, north Kerala, and Mahe today. Heatwave conditions in coastal Karnataka are likely to continue for the next 2-3 days. The weather department also predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall or snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and



Himachal Pradesh today. 

IMD informed that Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Himachal Pradesh are expected to experience thunderstorms and lightning today. According to the Met Department, Gujarat shall witness hot and humid weather in the next 2 days.
