India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave conditions over parts of east and peninsular India during the next four days. Heatwave conditions are likely over North Interior Karnataka, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. IMD predicted a gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees celsius over many parts of East India during the next three
days.
On the other hand, the weather office has forecast that enhanced rainfall and thunderstorm activity is likely to continue over Northeast India till Sunday. Light to moderate rainfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall and snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh.
