IMD forecasts heatwave in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Vidarbha

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave conditions over Gujarat, Southwest Rajasthan and Vidarbha today. Hot and humid weather will prevail over Konkan, Goa and Coastal Karnataka today.

MeT Department also predicts that heavy to very heavy rainfall will likely descend over south Tamil Nadu today and heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala today and tomorrow. Over North-East India, light to moderate



will be present over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the next three days. The weather agency also said that there has been a rise in minimum and maximum temperatures up to 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over Delhi-NCR.

A gradual rise in maximum temperatures is expected by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius likely over Northwest and Central India during the next two days.
