IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in Gujarat over the next three days. A red alert of very heavy rainfall has been issued for Surat and Bharuch districts today. Several places in the south Gujarat region recorded heavy rainfall during the last 24 hours. 

Several districts of South Gujarat region including Tapi, Dang, Navsari recorded heavy rains during the last 24 hours. Following the heavy rainfall, the water level has



risen in the Ambika Olan, Valmiki, Zakhari rivers in the Tapi district. A flood-like situation occurred in Dolvan tehsil in the Tapi district. 

IMD has issued Red alert for Surat and Bharuch and Orange alert for several other districts of Gujarat for today. Meanwhile, restoration work is going on in full swing in the districts affected by the recent flash floods.
