The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rainfall over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha from the 31st of this month for 3 days.
The IMD said, this is due to a fresh Western Disturbance and it is likely to affect Northwest India from the 30th along with its influence and its interaction with lower-level easterly winds. It also predicts light to moderate rainfall over south Tamil Nadu and Kerala from 30th of this month for 4 days.
In its weather bulletin, the IMD also forecasts dense to
very dense fog during night and morning hours in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi to continue for the next 3 days. Dense Fog conditions are likely to continue in isolated pockets of Odisha, north Rajasthan, and northwest Madhya Pradesh tomorrow and over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during morning hours from tomorrow for 4 days.
The weather agency predicts no significant change in Minimum Temperatures over northwest and east India during the next 5 days and over central India during next 2 days but is expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius thereafter.
