IMD forecasts light to moderate rainfall over southern states

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, and south interior Karnataka today. According to the IMD, Andaman and Nicobar Islands are expected to receive heavy rainfall tomorrow. 

The IMD



said Delhi and the National Capital Region are likely to experience smog and shallow fog during the night and morning hours in the next 2-3 days. The weather office also predicted moderate to dense fog conditions in isolated pockets of north-east Uttar Pradesh today during morning hours.
