The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast scattered light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Goa and Maharashtra on Saturday. Similar Conditions are expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.

According to the weather department, the strong surface wind is very likely to prevail at



isolated places Northwest India on Saturday, with Rajasthan experiencing significant dust storms that will impair visibility. The IMD has also forecast the fall in maximum temperature by 2 to 5 degress Celsius over northwest adjoining central India during the next two days.  Heat wave conditions very likely in isolated pockets of interior Odisha till tomorrow.
