IMD forecasts rain with thunderstorms in some parts of Maharashtra

According to Indian Metrological Department, Mumbai is likely to experience pre-monsoon showers today. In view of the cyclonic circulation, which has been giving rains over Kerala and Karnataka, Mumbai may see some rainfall activities.

The system is gradually diffusing and shifting upward and inland. Thus, clouding will begin over Mumbai from today. Pre Monsoon rainfall activities on a lighter note will begin on May 21 onward. 

Thereafter, from May 24, rains could be slightly more intense but not to the effect of causing any



disruption anywhere. In view of the Cyclonic Circulation, which has been giving rains over Kerala and Karnataka, Mumbai may see some rainfall activities.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted rains with thunderstorms in some parts of Maharashtra till May 21. This includes South Maharashtra, Konkan, and some parts of Marathwada.  Where Osmanabad, Satara, Sangli, and Kolhapur, Nagpur districts were blessed with some rainfall with lightning, and strong winds in this heatwave
