India Meteorological Department has forecast scattered rainfall and snowfall over the Western Himalayas today. It has predicted rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh for the next 2-3 days. 

IMD said that due to a cyclonic circulation over the Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Sri Lanka, isolated light to moderate rainfall is expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry,



Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe for the next two days. It also predicted no significant change in minimum temperature over Central and East India during the next 24 hours. 

The Weather Department said that Dense fog conditions are likely to continue during the morning hours in East Uttar Pradesh, Sub Himalayan and Gangetic West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha and the Northeastern states till tomorrow.
