The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alert in parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The IMD said that isolated hailstorms, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds will appear over parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand today.
Light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning will also fall over parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and North-East India during the next two days. Rainfall and snowfall is expected to fall over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather will continue to prevail over parts
of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the next 2 days.
The Weather Agency said that maximum temperatures are below normal by 2 to 3 degree Celsius over many parts of the country except over some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and, Northeast and south Peninsular India, where conditions are near normal.
The minimum temperature will fall by 2 to 3 degree Celsius over Central East India during the next three days. No significant change in maximum temperatures is likely over the remaining parts of the country during the next 5 days.
