India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alert warning for rainfall over Eastern, Northeastern and southern parts of the country for the next few days. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till 25th August. 

Isolated heavy rainfall is also very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal,



Lakshadweep, Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana during the same period. Isolated very heavy rainfall is very likely over Kerala and Mahe today. The weather department also forecast isolated heavy rainfall over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till 26th August. 

In Delhi, the IMD forecast a generally cloudy sky with Light rain and thundershowers throughout the week.
