IMD issues rain, hailstorm alerts for several parts of the country during next few days

The hailstorm and rainfall activities were witnessed in several parts of the country including in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi  and Uttar Pradesh yesterday.

 

Senior scientist in the India Meteorological Department, R K Jenamani attributed the



rainfall in the areas to active western disturbance.

 

He said, the rainfall is likely to intensify further for the next two days.Mr Jenamani added that  there will be no heatwave upto 10th of this month in any parts of the country.
