In Kerala, the Met Department has issued a red alert in four northern districts: Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod. In its revised weather bulletin issued last evening, the IMD said an orange alert is in place in Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Malappuram.
The authorities have declared a holiday for all educational institutions in Wayanad, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod



districts tomorrow.

In Wayanad, the district authorities have appealed to people staying in landslide-prone areas to shift to relief camps. People living in Karumbalakotta, Lakkidi, Manikkunnumala, Muttil Kolppara Colony, Kappikalam, Sugandhagiri, and Pozhuthana in Vythiri taluk and Pancharakolli region in Mananthavady taluk have been asked to remain highly vigilant.
