Shimla: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh during the next two days. Shimla continued to receive heavy rainfall yesterday. During the past 24 hours, the state capital recorded 190 mm of rain. 

Water logging,



landslides and uprooting of trees has disrupted normal life in the state. Cloudbursts and flash floods caused significant damage in the state. Himachal Pradesh government has declared the entire state as a 'natural calamity affected area'.
