Due to the low-pressure area around the Bay of Bengal, the Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in Madhya Pradesh. IMD has issued red alert for extremely heavy rainfall in seven districts Umaria, Katni, Jabalpur, Mandla, Panna, Damoh, and Shivpuri. It has also issued an alert for heavy rain for 36 districts till today.

Orange alert has been issued



for 18 districts and Yellow alert for 11 districts. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in these districts. Meanwhile, the process of drizzling rain is continuing in many districts including the capital Bhopal from yesterday morning. It has been raining in Rewa also since morning. Jabalpur recorded 6.61 inches of rain in the last 24 hours.
