Widespread light to moderate rainfall is accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning over North East region, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next six days.
Rainfall and thunderstorms are likely at a few places over Northwest India till tomorrow.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that similar conditions are also likely over Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit, Muzaffarbad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next three to four days.
IMD predicted that heat wave conditions would prevail in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab,
Haryana, Rajasthan and Odisha during the next three to four days.
On the southwest monsoon, the weather department said, conditions are favourable for further advance of the southwest monsoon into the remaining parts of central Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Karnataka, some parts of south Maharashtra, Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, some parts of south Chhattisgarh and South Odisha and some more parts of West Central and Northwest Bay of Bengal in the next 3-4 days.
Meanwhile, Delhi has witnessed a medium rain with hailstorm last night.
