The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in the Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya till 31 of August. The IMD said the monsoon trough continues to run along the foothills of the Himalayas and it is likely to remain along the foothills of Himalayas during next 5 days. 

In Southern part of the country, IMD predicted isolated



heavy rainfall activity very lover Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal for today. The agency said subdued rainfall activity is likely to continue over the rest of the country for the next week. Additionally, the met department has forecast that certain regions of Kerala and Tamil Nadu will experience hot and humid conditions in the upcoming three days.
