IMD predicts heavy rainfall in Southern states, dense fog in Himachal

India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam today.

Rainfall in these regions will continue for the next 3-4 days. IMD said that Himachal Pradesh can also experience dense fog in the morning and night hours



today. The Weather department also predicted a gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius over northwest India (except Rajasthan) and Maharashtra during the next 4-5 days. 

IMD added that there will be no significant change in minimum temperatures over the rest parts of the country in the coming days.
