Districts in Marathwada and some other parts of Maharashtra are receiving heavy rain for the last 36 hours and rivers are flowing near the danger mark. Due to heavy rains in the catchment area of Hatnur dam on Tapi river in Jalgaon district, 16 out of 41 gates of Hatnur dam have been opened. Nanded district has been receiving continuous rains for the last 36 hours. Schools and Educational institutions in Nanded District have been closed. 

Villages in Hadgaon and Himayatnagar talukas have lost contact as many roads in the district



have gone underwater. Sahastrakund waterfall on Painganga river in Umarkhed taluka of Yavatmal district is currently overflowing.

Currently, it is raining continuously all over the district and many rivers and nallas have been flooded. Meanwhile, a car with six passengers has washed away in Nagpur yesterday. Three bodies were recovered and a search is on for the missing persons. IMD has predicted heavy rains in Marathwada, Konkan, and Vidarbha of Maharashtra in the next 4 days.
