The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall likely in Northern states of the country.
IMD said, widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over Uttarakhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and heavy rainfall over Jammu Division, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, East Rajasthan, South
Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Maharashtra and Goa during next two, three days.
Due to convergence of strong lower level winds over the west coast, widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls are also likely over Konkan and Goa and Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra between August 1 to 3, it added.
