In Karnataka, incessant and heavy rains continued in Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Uduppi, Kodagu, Haveri, and Chikkmagaluru districts. Revenue Minister R. Ashoka visited the rain-affected areas in Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada districts. 

He announced Five lakh rupees as compensation to the labourers who lost their lives in the landslip at Mukkuda in Panjikallu village in the Dakshina Kannada district yesterday. He also announced five lakh rupees as compensation for the fully damaged houses during the rain.

district incharge Minister Kotta Srinivasa Poojari held a review meeting with the officials and informed them that the district administration appointed nodal officers for the 229-gram panchayats and 13 town panchayats. 

An orange alert has been declared in the Kodagu district and the district administration declared a holiday for the schools and colleges today. In Uttara Kannada district, a red alert was declared by the Met department. In every taluk control rooms were opened to help the affected people.
