Indefinite curfew imposed in two police station areas of Sonitpur district of Assam

In Assam, indefinite curfew has been imposed at Thelamara and Dhekiajuli police station area in Sonitpur district last night following  a clash that occurred between two groups. 

Official sources said that  the incident occurred when a motorcycle rally was taken out yesterday at Garudowa area



under Thelamara police station. Several persons were injured in the clash. The vehicle of the District Magistrate was also attacked when he went to the  spot. Police resorted to blank firing to disperse the crowd.  Additional forces have been deployed at the incident site.
