Independence Day Celebrations: Delhi Police prohibits flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms from today

New Delhi: Ahead of the Independence Day Celebrations, Delhi Police has prohibited flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms like para-gliders, para-motors, hang-gliders, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and microlight aircraft from today. The order issued by Delhi Police Commissioner will remain effective till 16th



August.

 

The decision to prohibit such aerial platforms was taken to thwart criminal, anti-social elements or terrorists inimical to India from posing a threat to the safety of the general public, dignitaries, and vital installations by using them.
