Independent MLA H Nagesh resigns as Cabinet Minister

In a further jolt to the coalition government in Karnataka, the lone Independent MLA, H Nagesh has resigned as small Industries minister and extended his support to the BJP.

The Congress JD(S) Government in the state is on a shaky wicket with nine Congress and three JD(S) MLAs submitting their resignation letters to the Speaker’s



office.

Meanwhile, hectic parleys are on to save the Government. The Congress legislators met at Deputy Chief Minister Dr.G Parameshwar’s residence in the morning.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy is likely to meet the Governor in a short while from now to brief him about the situation.
