India asks Pakistan for remedial action in Sikh girls forced conversion case

India has asked Pakistan for immediate remedial action in connection with the recent incident about the abduction and forced conversion of a minor girl from Sikh community there. 

In response to a media query in this regard, External Affairs Ministry Spokesman Raveesh Kumar said that the Ministry has received a number of representations from



various quarters of civil society in India, including Sikh religious bodies at the reports of the incident of abduction and forced conversion of a minor Sikh girl in Pakistan. 

He said, India has shared these concerns with the Government of Pakistan and asked for immediate remedial action.
