Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu yesterday launched the Electronic Personnel License (EPL) for pilots in New Delhi. The Electronic Personnel License will simplify the licensing and renewal process for pilots, offering greater convenience, and will be accessible via the eGCA Mobile Application. Briefing the media after the launch, the minister said India has become the second country in the world to launch EPL for pilots. Mr. Naidu said the EPL will ensure real-time access to licensing credentials for the

pilots.

Hailing the launch of EPL, the minister described the electronic license as a testament to digital transformation, streamlining the licensing process, and empowering pilots in India’s aviation industry. Mr. Naidu highlighted that the Civil Aviation Ministry has integrated technology across every aspect, including aviation, airports, operations, and regulations. He emphasised that India has become one of the fastest-growing aviation markets in the world.
