India-Belgium share good & steady relations: EAM Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar yesterday held a meeting with Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot in New Delhi and highlighted India’s historical relation with the country. During the meeting, Dr Jaishankar said, the two countries have good and steady relations in the areas of trade, investment, industry, education, pharmaceuticals, innovation and culture. 

He noted that they are also discussing the fields of semiconductors, AI, clean



energy, digital, mobility and defence. In a social media post, the Minister said that he also spoke about furthering EU and multilateral cooperation, as well as global and regional developments.

Dr Jaishnkar also held a meeting with Princess Astrid of Belgium yesterday in the national capital.

Princess Astrid of Belgium, who is on a seven-day visit to India, will also call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.
