India has 165 ESI Hospitals & 1,695 Dispensaries, with Over 12,117 Medical Staff: Labour Minister

The government has said that there are 165 ESI hospitals and 695 ESI dispensaries across the country. In a written reply in Rajya Sabha, Labour and Employment Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya said, 59 ESI hospitals and 141 ESI dispensaries, including the dispensary cum branch office, are run by the



Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). 

Mr Mandaviya also said two thousand 675 regular doctors and nine thousand 442 nursing and paramedical staff are in the ESI hospitals and dispensaries run by the ESIC.
