Minister of Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan has said that India has the potential to fulfill global hunger needs and the government is working in this direction to establish an ecosystem in the country. Mr Chirag made this remark during the inaugural session of the 39th edition of the International Food and Hospitality Fair – AAHAR at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi yesterday. 

The Minister expressed confidence that at least one Indian food item will be present



in every food market in the world in the near future. He said that all stakeholders are an important key to fulfilling India’s vision. Highlighting the AAHAR fair, Chairman and Managing Director of India Trade Promotion Organisation, Pradeep Singh Kharola, said that this year, over 1,700 exhibitors, including those from 22 countries, are participating in the fair. He added that the 5-day fair is expected to witness over one lakh visitors. .
