External Affairs Sushma Swaraj has said that India is not only known for its mature and successful democracy but also for its all round development. 

Addressing a special programme to mark 70 years of independence at Indian Embassy in Kathmandu last evening she said that since independence every prime minister of India has contributed in the development of the country. 

Mrs Swaraj said that Prime Minister of India wants that our neighbours should also gets benefit of India’s



development. She said that Nepal has adopted democratic form of government and India wishes for its success.

Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba, Speaker Onsari Gharti, Former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Indian Ambassador Manjiv Singh Puri, Sadguru, Actress Manisha Kiorala, senior leaders, officials and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. 

Meanwhile, Mrs Swaraj returned to New Delhi last night after two-day visit to Kathmandu.
