India has issued an advisory to its nationals urging them to avoid nonessential travel to Myanmar in view of the evolving security situation there. In its advisory, the External Affairs Ministry said that those already living in Myanmar are advised to take precautions and avoid travel to the
regions affected by violence. It said inter-state travel by road should also be avoided.
The Ministry has asked the Indian nationals living in Myanmar to register with the Embassy of India, Yangon by filling up the form.
