The Indian and Pakistani armies held a commander-level flag meeting in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday. The meeting was held at the Line of Control (LoC) crossing point at Chakan Da Bagh in Poonch district, in which senior officers from both sides participated.

The meeting was held in response to recent incidents of firing, sniping, and IED explosions along the LoC in



Rajouri, Poonch, and Jammu districts. Senior Army officers from both sides discussed ways to de-escalate tensions. 

The meeting lasted over an hour and aimed to address the repeated ceasefire violations by the Pakistan Army. The Indian side strongly condemned the Pakistan Army’s repeated ceasefire violations along the LoC.
