Dharwad: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has issued a stern warning to the Khalistani separatists operating in foreign countries. Interacting with the prominent citizens of Dharwad in North Karnataka yesterday, the foreign minister categorically stated that India will not tolerate vandalism of its national flag.
Saying that this is not India which will accept its national flag being pulled down, Mr. Jaishankar said that a message is given to the Khalistanis and the British that if somebody tries to
disrespect our national flag, we reply by putting up a bigger flag. He explained that the separatist Khalistani movement across the world is the handiwork of a very small group of people serving the interests of our neighbours.
He emphasised that it is the obligation of the country to provide security to our embassies and its diplomats as is being done in India. The foreign minister’s interaction was organised by the BJP Dharwad district unit.
