Indian passenger held for smuggling gold worth Rs 1.15 crore from Bahrain

Customs officials arrested Indian passengers coming from Bahrain for allegedly smuggling gold worth Rs 1.15 crore at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.Taking to X, Delhi Customs said that the passenger was arrested on the basis of intelligence



inputs on Wednesday, March 13, and caught smuggling gold weighing 2005 grams.

The undeclared gold was confiscated from the passenger. Investigations are ongoing following the arrest of passengers under the Customs Act, of 1962.
