391 Indian Haj pilgrims have been evacuated in Aziziyah district in the holy city of Makkah on Tuesday where fire erupted at the accommodation of the Indian pilgrims. No causalities were reported. According to the sources, a mobile charger is believed to be the reason behind the short circuit that caused the fire.
According to the Saudi
civil defence officials, fire erupted on the seventh floor of the building and as precautionary measures 391 pilgrims were evacuated from the building.
Sources said that the short circuit occurred while one of the pilgrim kept his phone of charging which housing pilgrims mostly from the Indian state of Assam.
