New Delhi: Indian Railways has rolled back prices of platform tickets to pre-Covid era rates. As India witnesses a dip in the number of Covid-19 cases, Railways yesterday declared that the prices of platform tickets will be slashed back to pre-pandemic rates. Indian Railways had hiked prices of platform tickets in March 2020 in order to minimize the footfall of people during the
pandemic.
Like earlier, platform tickets will now be available at 10 rupees again.
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has also decided to resume the service of cooked meals in Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto, Vande Bharat, Tejas, and Gatiman Express trains.
