As part of a new scheme called Flex Pay, IndiGo has provided an option where passengers can make upfront payment of 10 percent of the ticket cost and the balance can be paid within the next 15 days.
In order to prevent any travel with just 10 percent amount paid, the airline has made it compulsory for the travel date to be at least 15 days away from the booking date.
The offer will be valid on select seats. If the balance amount is not paid by the passenger within 15 days of booking the ticket, then the airline will cancel the booking and the upfront payment will not be refunded.
Here are some key things to know about Flex Pay:
.It will be applicable on bookings made through IndiGo’s website, www.goindigo.in.
.There should be a minimum period of 15 days between the date of booking and the date of departure of the flight.
.The Flex Pay payment will be 10 percent of the total fare or Rs 400, whichever is higher, and will be charged on a per passenger basis. For example, the minimum Flex Pay payment for a Delhi-Bombay round trip for four
passengers will be, 2 segments X 4 Pax X Rs 400 = Rs 3,200
.Flex Pay payment cannot be made by a customer using any reward points or through a voucher.
.If the outstanding payment for the booking is not made before the expiry of the Flex Pay period (15 days from the date of booking), the booking will be cancelled automatically and the Flex Pay payment will be retained by IndiGo.
.Passengers are required to confirm their booking by paying the total fare through the “edit booking” option on the IndiGo website www.goindigo.in, or through the payment link received at the time of making a booking using the Flex Pay option or by calling the IndiGo call centre within the Flex Pay period.
.In case of cancellation of a booking, Flex Pay Payment will not be refunded by IndiGo.
.A booking made using the Flex Pay option cannot be rescheduled until the outstanding amount has been paid before the expiry of the Flex Pay Period.
.IndiGo has said that it reserves the right to withdraw or modify these terms, at any time, at its absolute discretion, without assigning any reason and without prior intimation.
