The fourth edition of Exercise Tiger Triumph, the bilateral Tri-Service India-US Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief exercise has begun yesterday at Visakhapatnam. This exercise is aimed at developing interoperability and formulation of Standard Operating Procedures for conducting Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations between the two countries.

This fifteen-day long exercise will witness the participation of Indian Naval ships Jalaswa, Gharial, and Mumbai



along with Integral Helicopters. The C-130, P-8I aircraft, MI-17 Helicopters of the Indian Air Force and the 91 Infantry Brigade and 12 Mech Infantry Battalion of the Indian Army will also take part in this exercise. 

The US side will be represented by US Naval ships Comstock and Ralph Johnson. This exercise will not only strengthen interoperability but also will help in a coordinated response in disaster relief and rescue.
