A delegation of industrialists in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday met the Centre's special representative Dineshwar Sharma in Samba district and sought his intervention to ensure growth of industry in the state.
Special representative arrived on a two-day visit and met dozens of delegations in the twin districts of Kathua and Samba. General Secretary Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) Ajay Langer said the association has requested Mr Sharma to kindly take up the matter with
Central and state government to resolve the issue on priority basis for the rapid industrial growth and also save the micro and small scale sector from closure.
The officials said various other delegation also met with Mr Sharma, included politicians briefed about various issues related to development, tourism and unemployment in the state. One of the delegations also highlighted the demand for a CBI probe into the Kathua rape and murder case.
