The inter-island helicopter services in Andaman and Nicobar will start again from 14th September. The heli services connecting all major places like Campbell Bay, Chowra, Terresa, Hutbay, Diglipur etc. in Nicobar and North and Middle Andaman district will now be available twice in a week. 

For Car Nicobar and Mayabunder, heli services will be available four days in a week. However, all the passengers going to tribal district Nicobar will have to undergo RT PCR test before commencing their journey. 

For North



and Middle Andaman, the Rapid Antigen Test has been made mandatory. Only those who found negative will be allowed to go. Passengers need to pay a sum of Rs 500 for the test. No fees will be collected from government employees on duty and medical patients. 

Earlier, the inter-island heli services were suspended to contain the spread of Coronavirus but with restarting of these services the patients, students and govt. employees from remotely located islands will definitely be benefitted.
