The Centre Government’s Special Representative on Jammu and Kashmir, Dineshwar Sharma yesterday called on the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Governor NN Vohra in Jammu and discussed various issues on the current scenario of the state and the recent confidence building measures taken by the Centre for the state.
Sharma briefed the Chief Minister and the Governor about the measures he had recommended the centre after his first visit and the programme scheduled for his second visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
Yesterday
Sharma also visited Jagti Migrant Township in Nagrota in the outskirts of Jammu city and interacted with the Kashmiri Pandit migrants there and listened to their problems.
Today Mr.Sharma is scheduled to visit Talwara area of Reasi district and intract with the militancy affected people of Jammu region.
He will also meet the border dwellers of both Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB) and take stock of their issues today. He would also meet refugees from West Pakistan and some others delegations.
