The eight edition of the International Conference on Wild Silk Moths will begin today in Guwahati,Assam. Minister of State for Textiles Ajay Tamta and Assam Handloom minister Ranjit Dutta will attend the inaugural function. Official sources said that delegates from 15 countries will take part in the three-day event.
India
is holding the event for the second time with an aim to explore latest research and development. The conference is being organized by the Central Silk Board and International Society for Wild Silk Moths.
An exhibition on silk product and seminars are also being organized as a part of the event.
