New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has said the International Yoga Day has given worldwide identity to Indian spiritual culture. Addressing an event of Bramhakumaris organised in New Delhi yesterday to mark the International Day of Yoga, Mr Birla said, due to yoga, a positive change has been brought in the life of every person. He added that through yoga, people can improve their lives by keeping their minds and bodies healthy. Mr Birla observed that India is leading the world through its spiritual thinking and knowledge.
 
The Lok Sabha Speaker appreciated the work of Brahmakumaris Sansthan, and noted



that it is working towards paving the way for peace and happiness of humanity. He stated that it is a matter of pride that for the last eighty years, the Sansthan has made invaluable contribution towards spiritual progress, inner transformation and revival of the world peace. 

Mr. Birla added that through the spirit of service based on peace, non-violence and love, this Sansthan has accomplished significant work in many areas such as holistic education, rural development, health, women's empowerment, disaster management and environmental protection.
