J & K Avalanche : 5 trapped soldiers in macchil sector rescued,says Army

All five soldiers trapped under snow in Macchil ​on Saturday rescued alive, said Army.

A fresh avalanche had hit an Army post in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, in which five soldiers were feared to be trapped in the snow.

The five soldiers of a patrol were immediately trapped as the snow track caved in.

This came in the wake of the two separate avalanches in Gurez and Sonmarg on Wednesday, in which two soldiers lost their lives.
