Vijayawada: State-wide festivities for the enhanced YSR Pension Kanuka (January 1 onwards) culminate Wednesday as CM Jagan Mohan Reddy formally distributes pensions in Kakinada.

This initiative, dubbed "a compassionate lifeline" by beneficiaries, reflects the government's commitment to empowering seniors. Jagan, fulfilling his manifesto pledge, has gradually raised monthly

pensions to Rs. 3,000, touching over 66 lakh lives.

"Widow pension saved us during stormy times," echoes S. Guljar, Chittoor widow. "Jagananna's support lifted me and my children."

Nellore's Allampati Kondamma praises home delivery of rations and pensions, calling it a "thoughtful gesture that eases life."
