Jai Raj Ispat Limited, a city-based manufacturer of sponge iron, billets and constructional steel products, will be setting up a steel products manufacturing plant in Dharur mandal of Mahbubnagar district with an investment outlay of around Rs 3,000 crore.
The proposed project, which will come up on Jai Raj Ispat’s 250-acre land, will be executed in two phases. Once completed, the plant will have an annual production capacity of one million tonne, and will provide direct and indirect employment of 1,200 and 3,500, respectively.

Limited Executive Director Siddharth Jain, who met Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao on Wednesday, said after surveying the industrial atmosphere in all the States in India, the company eventually chose Telangana due to its proactive and prompt governance. “There is a positive response from the industry towards Telangana’s policies and promptness,” he said. Assuring Jai Raj Ispat of all the cooperation, the Minister directed Secretary (industries) Arvind Kumar and Mahabubnagar Collector Sreedevi to extend support from the government.
