Jaipur Literature Festival begins today

Jaipur Literature Festival, popularly known as Kumbh of literature, is kicking off today.All the arrangements have taken place for this five-day festival at Diggi Palace in the pink city.

Different stages have been set up at the venue. The 11th edition of the Festival will feature over 200 sessions on a multitude of topics, trends, ideas and genres, ranging from fiction, poetry, nonfiction, gender equality, environmental protection, science, history, liberal arts, journalism, economics, travel and cinema.

"Pink City is once again ready to host art and literature lovers from the country and abroad. Thousands of people have reached Jaipur to participate in this



festival. 

Thousands of others are coming in next five days. No room is available in most of the hotels of the city. Jaipur Police has made special arrangements for security but at the same time, it is also being taken care that guests should not face any problem. 

Organizer of the festival Sanjay Roy told that the renowned personalities of literature, cinema, music, art and culture will be attending the festival including Hamid Karzai, Muhammad Yunus, Mridula Garg, Bollywood personalities Anurag Kashyap, Sharmila Tagore and Soha Ali Khan, tabla wizard Zakir Hussain, popular writers Ashwin Sanghi, Amish, Chetan Bhagat, Sudha Murthy and several others.
