Pinkcity Jaipur is all set to host the 12th Regional 3R and Circular Economy Forum in Asia and the Pacific. This three-day Event kicks off today at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur. The forum focuses on “Realizing Circular Societies Towards Achieving SDGs and Carbon Neutrality in Asia-Pacific. Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, will inaugurate the event in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajanlal Sharma.
The Forum aims to provide strategic policy inputs to government
authorities in the Asia-Pacific region for mainstreaming 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) and circularity and serve as a platform for disseminating and sharing best practices in 3R. The takeaway of the 12th Regional Forum will be the Jaipur Declaration for 2025-34. It will aim to provide participating countries with a framework for developing 3R and circular economy policies and programs. Agreements for 18 cities will be signed in the event to activate the CITIIS 2.0 program, which includes integrated waste management projects.
